Specialist: Pricing
Role purpose: The role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of market trends and customer behavior. Pricing specialists work closely with various departments, including sales, marketing, and finance, to ensure that pricing models are competitive and profitable. Responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies that align with the organization’s business objectives.
• Designing pricing strategy that guarantees company margin while improving market share.
• Monitor and analyze mobile products (Voice, International, Data, SMS, VAS & Solution) performance and initiate pricing adjustment(s).
• Design and develop pricing concept and strategies for Mobile products.
• Define and initiate the implementation of tracking tools of mobile products.
• Research competitive pricing issues and provide reporting on competitive pricing opportunities.
• Continually evaluate competitions and company’s position in the market.
• Regular report on Mobile products performance.
• Development Business cases for new mobile initiatives and alignment with Finance team.
• Initiate pricing Survey and Conjoint analysis.
• Provide feedback on Proposals initiated by the business stream owners.
• Monitor and analyze product performance and initiate proper adjustments to improve performance.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
• University bachelor’s degree/master’s in economics/business, or Finance focus preferred.
• +5 years of demonstrated experience working in analytical roles such as data analytics, revenue assurance, Business Analysis, billing and Finance.
• +5year of demonstrated experience in pricing.
• Proficiency with MS office suite including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power point.
• Business Skills knowledge including statistical analysis, reporting and deep analytic skills.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple department, establish and maintain professional business relationships with external and internal customers.
• Strong accounting and/or math skills; ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, variance and percentages.
• Proven analytical skills.
Key performance indicators:
• Business Case accuracy +/- 5% from gap between actual and projections
• Initiative(s) tracking report that monitor all the initiatives done by commercial to provide guidance on where modification or scale is needed
• Proactive tracking of competition activities and advise the way forward, weekly submission of updated market portfolio highlighting areas with changes/difference
