What you’ll do

•    To manage/administer/maintain IT Storage and Storage Area Network (SAN) infrastructure on 24*7 basis.
•    To manage provisioning, performance, availability and capacity for Storage&SAN environment
•    To provide technical expertise/consultancy to other departments/projects in Vodafone
•    To improve current processes, implement best practices and technical standards
•    To contact related parties of vendors in order to fix problems and transfer technical knowhow
•    To analyse high & low level design requirements about IaC (Infrastructure as Code) opportunities. To develop, test and implement the solution.
•    Responsible for installing, configuring, implementing and troubleshooting any issues for the Storage&SAN infrastructure
•    Design, manage and support a mixed environment of Storage&SAN systems (Huawei, EMC, HDS, NetApp, Pure Storage, Brocade)
•    Perform troubleshooting, incident and error handling for systems
•    Design, develop and implement  the code to automate processes
•    Analyse new/upcoming technologies and to evaluate their impacts on current systems/environment
•    Assist in the identification, development and maintenance of policies and procedures that are relevant to the proper operational functions of the Storage&SAN infrastructure
•    Planning and implementation of new Storage&SAN platforms to provide  “best fit environments” for applications, utilities, DBMSs
•    Configuration and capacity management of Storage&SAN infrastructure
•    Quality assurance of new and existing Storage&SAN systems
•    Lifecycle management of all Storage and SAN infrastructure
•    Evaluation of tools and applications to manage/monitor Storage&SAN infrastructure
•    Running  analytical troubleshooting techniques on the  systems/modules  that malfunctioned
•    Relationship building with the business through consultancy
•    Defining and implementing continuity solutions for each platform  (e.g. Storage & SAN based availability and disaster recovery solutions )
•    Maintain operational readiness ensuring complete recovery in the event of a disaster. Attend DR tests regularly, as outlined in the company policies and procedures to ensure DR functionality. Update the policies and procedures as required.
•    Operational support of all IT Storage & SAN infrastructure on 7*24 basis to provide continuous IT services availability and issue resolution.
•    Periodic monitoring and performance tuning of the systems

Who you are

•    University degree from a relevant discipline, preferably from engineering 
•    5+ years experience working with enterprise Storage&SAN systems
•    2+ years developing Python based automation solutions.
•    Able to execute scripts in; Python, Shell, Ruby, Perl, XML and JavaScripts.
•    Knowledge of ElasticDB, SQLite, MySQL or similar database management system.
•    Experience on web service integration (JSON, SOAP, REST, XML).
•    Knowledge and experience in using Grafana and Elasticsearch for logging and monitoring.
•    Experience working in a large, enterprise environment
•    In depth  knowledge on Storage  and  SAN concepts, technology and applications
•    High experience in SAN, NAS technologies
•    High experience in Huawei, HDS, NetApp storage systems 
•    High experience in Brocade ,Cisco SAN switches
•    High experience in Business Continuity, Cloud Computing, Virtualization concepts
•    Experience with compliance standards such as Sarbanes-Oxley, ISO 27001, PCI
•    Experience in Unix systems, fiesystem structure and shell scripting
•    Huawei, EMC, HDS, NetApp certification is preferred
•    Familiarity with 24X7 operations methodologies and IT management best practices 
•    Fluency in English 
•    Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
•    Good communication, documentation and reporting skills
•    Should be a good team player and should be able perform well under stress
•    Male candidates must have completed their military services
