What you’ll do

As an Aggregation Network Engineer, you will focus on delivering a first-class network and services to our customers.  With the Fixed Access engineering team, you will look after the country specific tests, the high-level design, the low-level design, and the delivery of the fixed network infrastructure supporting the business strategy. You will monitor the capacity making sure that all needed actions/orders are made to avoid high utilization. 
  
•    Overall Accountability for the Low-Level Design (LLD) according to dimensioning guidelines and standard configurations on the Fixed Access and Service Layer including Aggregation switches, OLT and other fixed access technologies. 
•    Perform Network engineering activities related to the design of the Fixed Access. Test and Accept new SW releases / HW platforms on the fixed network in scope.
•    Implement new technologies on Access (FTTx) corresponding IP interconnections.
•    Perform capacity planning and dimensioning for IP networks & Access working closely with the Fixed Service Design team, work closely with other Telco Operators/Providers to ensure NNI deployment and IP connectivity.
•    Within Fixed Access Engineering, to analyze wholesale arm requirement and current architecture to ensure proper capacity, implementation of projects related to Fixed Access on interconnections, traffic/policy management OLT, xDSLAM.
•    To support and coordinate rollout plans, to drive Fixed Access platform lifecycle on software and hardware within local market organization (deployment, operations, etc.)
•    Network Capacity management
•    Test Services and provide 3rd level support on Access.
•    Vendor handling on future needs/bug fixes and new services.
•    Take part in technical reviews and provide leadership to facilitate design and technical strategies for IP

Who you are

•    A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent.
•    English language (Fluent oral and written)
•    At least 3 years’ work experience in an telecommunications operator /organization supporting large heterogeneous Access & IP infrastructures.
•    Solid knowledge of Access (OLT, XDSLAM), IP technology and of Fixed networks requirements and characteristics. Able to challenge given solutions and identify innovation opportunities.
•    Certifications: formal training or certifications of any of the following vendors would be welcome (FTTH Council, BBWF, Cisco, Nokia, others).
•    Relevant Networking related certifications in Access and IP are desirable and will be considered a plus
•    SW development background aimed to automate provisioning, performance monitoring & reporting and introduction of Software Defined Network technologies.
