What you’ll do

A Core Network Assurance Engineer monitors network elements within teams’ scope and maintains strong knowledge of Vodafone services. His/her role is to detect, escalate, and manage incidents, changes, or problems that may affect service availability and quality, ensuring quick and professional resolution. He/She acts as a single point of contact for internal technical teams, regional NOCs, and domestic or international operators. 

Following the regionalization of monitoring and first-level fault management, he/she supports increased operational demands with the main goal of maintaining network performance, availability, and service quality. This role requires working effectively in a high-pressure environment, ensuring service assurance and operational excellence. 

Additionally, the team is responsible for the technical resolution or delegation of customer complaint tickets related to Core and Roaming services.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership  

  • Network supervision and monitoring  
  • Trouble shooting at 1st Level of network entities.  
  • Control of change & configuration management activities  
  • Network Incident and crisis management  
  • Network performance monitor  
  • Network expansions and enhancements  
  • Customer trouble tickets handling and resolving.  
  • Keep record of the occurred Incidents according to local and global governance. 
  • Contribution on the development and operation of Network Management systems 
  • Provide accurate reports in time, according to the requirements set by the management. 

Who you are

What we believe that you should have to start your career with us as a successful NMC Engineer:  

  • Self-motivation, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. 
  • Adaptability to changing conditions, work priorities and organizational needs.   
  • At least two (2) years of experience in telecommunications or Computer Systems (desired) 
  • Good knowledge of converged Networks architecture 
  • Strong customer orientation attitude 
  • Take initiatives, be alerted, have a sense of urgency 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Skilled at working with diverse teams and stakeholders to achieve business goal to deliver results/change 

Must have technical / professional qualifications: 

  • First degree or equivalent in Telecommunications, Electronic Engineering, Physics or Computer Science. 
  • Very good knowledge of English language oral and written. 

Nice to have experience in: 

  • Fundamental understanding of and hands-on experience with network technologies including Voice and Data Core, Cloud, NFV etc.  
  • Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PPTetc.)
