What you’ll do
• Delivery of 2nd level technical support, preventive and corrective maintenance for the optimal and smooth operation of the Data Core network.
• Root cause analysis and documentation of complex incidents. Apply fault-finding techniques and preventive maintenance instructions.
• Planning, assessment, implementation of change requests. Execute s/w and h/w upgrade activities.
• Perform periodic network health checks, network backups, network KPI evaluation and other maintenance activities.
• Define and embed consistent operational processes to support on-going support activities, driving improvements where issues are identified.
• Perform the administration and maintenance, assist in monitoring of Data Core network systems, and ensure their effective operation and optimum performance.
• Prepare trouble reports to the suppliers, as well as produce and communicate service quality data for the service offered by the equipment suppliers.
• Perform configuration management activities and subsequent testing activities to verify network and services proper operation.
• Assist in the introduction, testing and verification of new Data Core network system, functionality, and service into the network.
Who you are
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Telecommunications, Electronic Engineering, Physics or Computer Science
• Very good knowledge of English language (fluent oral and written)
• Three (3) years of experience in telecommunications or Computer Systems or relevant role (desired)
• Very good knowledge of PC - Windows / software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) - is essential
• Very good knowledge in Data Core systems (MME, SGW/PGW, MSP, PCRF, SecureNet, VoLTE/VoWiFi (AAA, WMG, SAPC), DNS protocols/service etc), also in VNF logic in NFV infrastructure. Knowledge in 5G SA nodes (PCC, PCG, CCRC) and CNF architecture would be useful.
• A logical approach to problem solving and self-motivation are important qualifiers.
• Ability to work on a 24x7x365 stand by schema.
• Very good interpersonal skills to effectively handle the communication across technical and commercial teams and mainly with customers’ representatives.
