What you’ll do
The Enterprise Engineering & Solution (EES) department within Network Engineering is responsible for designing and developing Enterprise Solutions integrated into the Vodafone Network. Building these solutions pertains Layer 2 and Layer 3 Design & Configuration, SDWAN, Remote Connectivity & Customer Side Devices Configuration
More specifically, as an Enterprise Fixed Services Engineer you will:
• Manage Design, Capacity Expansion, Lifecycle, Deployment & Acceptance for Layer 3 Networks
• Define End Customer Service Design (including custom solutions for RFQs) in Layer 3 Networks
• Selection and Testing of appropriate Customer Side Devices (e.g. CPEs)
• Definition of Customer Side Devices Configuration Template
• Define & Implement Automation Initiatives
• Adoption of Security Guidelines
• Maintain proper documentation
• Manage the full lifecycle of projects: Feasibility Analysis, Implementation & Acceptance of Network Platforms, in technology areas relevant to delivering services to Business Customers
• Interface local market stakeholders (e.g. Sales & Product teams)
• Define the project plan in agreement with all stakeholders
• Proper Vendor Management for delivering as per design and strategy
• Promote consistency and harmonisation across the local markets, delivering all the possible best practise processes, processes & cost savings initiatives
Who you are
• University degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or equivalent
• Advanced knowledge of Access and IP Routing technologies
• Three years of experience in IP Networks sector; experience in Enterprise Segment, Access Networks & Telephony will be considered an advantage
• Good understanding of wider technology aspects in telecommunications and ICT
• Knowledge in CPE Configuration
• External certification, e.g. as Cisco CCIE or CCNP, will be considered an advantage
• Understanding of Cyber Security domain
• PM Certification will be considered an advantage
• Ability to work within virtual teams and interface with multi-national clients
• Very good knowledge of English
