What you’ll do
We are looking for a Fixed Asset & Accounts Payable Financial Accountant to take over daily activities in Fixed Assets & Accounts Payable department. This job is ideal for someone who is highly analytical, has polished communication skills and is able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including third parties.
More specifically you will:
- Fixed assets register maintenance: Monitor new asset acquisitions, transfers, and disposals in the fixed asset register.
- Depreciation and capitalization: Calculate and record depreciation expense and ensure assets are capitalized correctly according to accounting standards and company policies.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of fixed asset accounts between the general ledger and sub-ledgers.
- Audit support: Prepare documentation and respond to queries from internal and external auditors.
- Financial reporting: Assist in preparing reports related to fixed assets and leases for financial statements.
- Asset Locations: Monitor and reconcile asset locations related to Assets.
- Account reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable records and supplier statements to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure compliance: Adhere to all relevant accounting standards, internal controls, and policies.
Who you are
- University degree & MSc in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of professional experience in relevant positions
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, particularly for fixed assets and leases.
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with other departments and auditors.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and multitask.
- Fluent English and Greek language
- Very good computer- MS office, SAP ERP understanding
