Fixed Network Assurance Associate Engineer
What you’ll do
As a Fixed Network Assurance NMC engineer you will carry out activities concerning 24 hours operation and maintenance of the IP network at all the company’s sites. Performs the remote monitoring of network quality and performance, and the diagnosis and rectification of problems. Maintains a high level of knowledge of services provided to Vodafone customers. Escalates and manages incidents or problems that could affect those services, in a competent, professional and timely manner, sustaining the availability and quality of these services. Furthermore, act as a single point of contact for Company’s internal technical departments and customer care, Regional NOCs as well as for foreign and domestic operators. In more details you will work on:
• Network supervision and monitoring
• Trouble shooting at 1st Level of network entities
• Control of change & configuration management activities
• Network Incident and crisis management
• Network performance monitor
• Network expansions and enhancements
• Customer trouble tickets handling and resolving
• Keep record of the occurred Incidents according to local and global governance
• Contribution on the development and operation of Network Management systems
Who you are
• Self-motivation, strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills; innovative thinking; ability to prioritize tasks and meet schedules under pressure and always embrace and cultivate team culture.
• One (1) year experience in telecommunications or Computer Systems (desired)
• Available to work on 24x7 rolling shift
• First degree or equivalent in Telecommunications, Electronic Engineering, Physics or Computer Science.
• Very good knowledge of English language oral and written.
Nice to have experience in:
• IP Networking (Certification such as CCNA, etc. is preferable)
• Fundamental understanding of and hands-on experience with network technologies including, routing/switching, VLANs, etc.
• Other BSS system, e.g. Siebel
• Programming Languages such as VBA, Shell script, C++, python.
• Microsoft Access
