What you’ll do
We are looking for an IFRS 15 Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance team. The role will focus primarily on revenue recognition under IFRS 15, while also supporting a wide range of finance operations activities, including public projects accounting, reporting, audit support, internal controls ownership and process automation initiatives.
This position is ideal for a hands-on finance professional with strong technical expertise and experience in complex revenue streams and project-based environments.
More specifically you will:
- Lead and support revenue recognition activities in accordance with IFRS 15, including contract analysis, identification of performance obligations, and assessment of revenue timing
- Monitor and account for public projects, including revenue and cost tracking, margin analysis, and periodic performance reviews
- Drive projects aimed at enhancing the local S15 platform, automating and streamlining currently manual processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and control
- Prepare IFRS 15 disclosures for Group reporting at half-year and year-end, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and alignment with Group requirements
- Act as owner and preparer of the relevant IFRS 15 internal controls for Greece OpCo, ensuring proper documentation, execution, and continuous improvement of the control framework
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Prepare and analyze BSRs and respond to ad hoc requests from Group Finance
- Participate actively in internal and external audits, including preparation of supporting documentation and communication with auditors
- Contribute to the preparation of financial statements
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements, automation, and strengthening of financial controls
- Support the development and enhancement of management reports and financial analyses
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree considered a plus)
- Strong hands-on experience with IFRS 15 and revenue recognition, ideally within complex contractual or project-based environments
- Previous experience in finance operations, accounting, or controlling roles
- Solid understanding of end-to-end financial processes, controls, and financial reporting
- Experience working with internal and external audits
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; fluent in both English and Greek
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems is considered an asset
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work autonomously and a strong focus on continuous improvement
