What you’ll do
The Service Operations Centre Expert is a skilled cybersecurity, cloud and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) specialist, that plays a crucial role in delivering and safeguarding our clients’ digital infrastructure. The SOC expert supports designing, delivering and maintaining public cloud infrastructure and SaaS services. More importantly, the SOC expert secures all critical digital assets by proactively identifying and mitigating threats.
You’ll be part of a dynamic team of customer experts responsible for assessing and delivering security, cloud and SaaS digital environments that fit our customer’s needs and Vodafone Business portfolio of Managed Service capabilities. Once delivered, the team swiftly responds to security and operational incidents within our clients’ environments and provides them with direct and close expert support. Your expertise will make a difference and contribute to maintaining a robust security posture and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of our customers’ sensitive information.
You will bring proficiency with security, cloud and SaaS technologies, and you will use the best tools and technologies available to provide managed services to our Vodafone Business customers from our Service Operations Centre in Greece.
Main responsibilities:
•Responsible for proactive and reactive multichannel customer interaction with focus on excellent customer experience and technical support.
•Assess, design and deliver security, cloud and SaaS infrastructure according to customer’s requirements and defined managed service capabilities.
•Deliver seamless operational & maintenance activities for managed security, cloud and SaaS services
•Conduct in-depth analysis of security and operational incidents to determine their severity and impact
•Contain and resolve service and security incidents, identifying and documenting root causes.
•Work closely with monitoring and customer support teams and provide guidance on escalated issues. Liaise with subject matter experts and provide feedback for improved platform and process designs.
•Develop and maintain documentation related to service and security incidents, analysis, and response actions.
Who you are
•At least 1-2 years of experience working in an industry standard Security or Cloud operations centre performing monitoring and handling incidents.
•Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
•Experienced in managed security using SIEM (preferred knowledge on Google SecOps, Splunk, QRadar), EDR (Trend, MS Defender, SentinelOne, Crowdstrike), identity, tools for malware analysis, Threat Intelligence and SOAR products.
•Experienced in public cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP).
•Experienced in M365 administration.
•General understanding of attacker tools, tactics and techniques, referencing on MITRE ATT&CK, knowledge of MITRE Shield and knowledgeable in other security technologies such as next gen firewalls, SSE, SASE and other network security devices and cloud security applications such as WAF, DLP, etc.
•Eager to learn, develop and keep at pace with technology evolution over time.
•Detail-oriented, problem-solving mindset with critical and analytical thinking.
•Ethical integrity, good at teamwork, responsible and highly motivated.
•Result-oriented, inquisitive, eager to learn new threats, technologies, and security practices.
Languages
•Greek as native language to assist customers during security incidents.
•Fluent in English as a working language to interact with other teams and read documentation and work with systems and platforms.
Qualifications and certifications
•Bachelor’s Degree in engineering departments (preferably Electronics or Computer Engineering)
•Preferably with security certifications such as GIAC GCIH, CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) or
•Preferably with cloud certifications such as AWS Solution Architect (SAA-C03) or Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or
•Preferably with SaaS certifications such as Microsoft 365 Administrator (MS-102).
•Product certification on other security technologies such as firewall, SSE, SASE and SIEM/SOAR are distinctive elements.
