What you’ll do

As a Sr NW Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of Fiber2All Fixed Access network (Fiber optic network, FTTH/FTTC infrastructure, DSLAMs/OLTs) including interfacing with the existing relevant O&M dpts (NMC, 2nd/3rd level NO) to ensure optimum network performance 24/7/365 to deliver the expected customer satisfaction and revenue targets. You will take responsibility of the outsourced to Vodafone operations activities to ensure that these are carried out in accordance to SLAs and to Wholesale contractual expectations.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership: 
•    Overall responsibility for the Operation & Maintenance of Fixed Access network ensuring wholesale customers have full availability 24/7/365 at the required standards to drive customer satisfaction and revenue target achievement
•    Serves as the focal liaison point for NMC/NOC and 2nd/3rd level Operations dpts
•    Manage the effective operations and maintenance activities of FTTH/C networks through the NW operation team
•    Leads the development of annual operational plans and budgets (capex & opex) for operation needs. Once approved, carry out day-to-day management of budget under the guidelines of Technical manager
•    Manage optimization of OPEX spending within approved budget with focus on critical areas.
•    Ensure high network availability by reducing mean time to repair and providing sufficient redundancy in the network where necessary
•    Analyze current processes and propose enhancements for further improvement
•    Ensures that operation & maintenance services offered from Vodafone to Fiberco are in line within SLAs & Fiberco’s guidelines
•    Prepare and present technical recommendations, guidelines, progress reports and higher management presentations for issues related to operations and maintenance of transport networks.
•    Contribute to initiatives aimed to improve business/operational standards and performance.
•    Make sure all issues are reported timely and accurately

Who you are

•    A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
•    Very good knowledge of Greek and English language (oral and written)
•    At least 4 years experience in NW Operation & Maintenance
•    Very good knowledge regarding the O&M NW procedures 
•    Good knowledge of MS Office 
•    Strong Management Skills 
•    Focus on targets and ability to meet strict deadlines
•    Strong Effective problem resolution
•    Excellent communication skills
•    Strong Technical Background in NW Access Networks
