What you’ll do

You will be part of an agile team that is designing and implementing Vodafone high volume and high impact web & mobile applications. We are continuously working on new features and ways to improve customer experience and interaction with our apps. ng the product, the associated risks and then defining, building and executing tests to mitigate these risks, whilst ensuring code and capability quality standards are satisfied. Typically reports to the Chapter Lead.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:  

  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to ensure adherence to design quality 
  • Design and implement automated tests for user and technical stories 
  • Debug tests and provide corrective actions to developers 
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities within the team 
  • Contribute to the maintenance and creation of test automation frameworks for REST API, Web and Mobile Testing  
  • Establish relationships with engineers to figure out their needs and feature requests 
  • Identify areas of QA improvement and implement processes around it 
  • Coach and provide technical guidance to junior member of the QA Chapter   

Who you are

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or another related field 
  • 4+ years of experience in software testing, with experience in Selenium, Appium and BDD Framework will be considered a plus 
  • Coding experience in at least one object-oriented programming or scripting languages such as Python, Java or JavaScript 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving & time-management skills  
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills 
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills (English is a must) 
  • Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle 
  • Solid knowledge of basic principles of Software Quality Assurance 
  • Experience working with agile methodologies / in agile teams will be considered an asset 
  • Experience in Continuous Integration process, version control, defect tracking and test management tools
