What you’ll do
The Strategy Unit within Vodafone is seeking a highly motivated Strategy Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate embodies a dynamic fusion of project management, analytical skills and financial modelling prowess, serving as the linchpin for driving strategic initiatives forward. By adeptly crafting meticulous business cases and financial models, the Strategy Analyst lays the groundwork for informed decision-making. With a keen focus on project management, they coordinate strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with Vodafone’s goals while mitigating risks. In essence, this role serves as the nexus where strategic thinking meets analytical precision and project management skills, helping drive the execution of Strategic
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
- Own and develop analytical models (business cases, DCF valuations) for projects supporting our long-term strategy
- Analyse market trends and competitive landscape, to help provide insights for strategic decision-making and projects
- Orchestrate long range plan and relative rolling forecast processes
- Collaborates and acts as project manager with both internal and external stakeholders (e.g., financial or legal advisors), and coordinates cross-functional teams in the development of business-wide strategies
- Coordinate and own communication material (C-level presentations) and delivers presentations to internal stakeholders
Who you are
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
• Strong analytical skills – valuation (DCF) / business planning experience
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong project management, communication & stakeholder management skills
• Telecoms & general business sense – strong financial analysis/planning experience
• Flexibility, commitment, communication skills
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering or related field
• 3-4 years professional experience in a strategy, consulting, or related analytical and project-based role, ideally in the telco, media, technology sector
