Bid Specialist-Manager-Bangalore
What you’ll do
To manage bids from qualification to submission or contracting, to provide process governance and support for the account team in bid preparation. To shape the deal strategy in order to maximize chances of winning the business. To ensure that bid and pre-sales commercial activities are managed in a timely manner, meeting the company's objectives and mitigating potential risks. To ensure that proposals satisfy both the customer's and the company's requirements and prepare the bid proposal for approval.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
- Is responsible for global (multi-country)and mid complexity, or single country and high complexity bids/ RFPs where mostly standard proposals suffice with limited bespoke elements; or supports Senior Bid Specialist on bids with higher complexity. Manages these bid projects/RFP responses from qualification to submission or contracting, where limited bespoke solution and proposal content are required.
- Identifies & briefs the staff to be involved, and ensures their focus and motivation.
•Develops the bid project plan, including risk analysis & contingency planning.
•Organizes and facilitates the bid kick-off and follow-up meetings, establishes a clear strategy (based on customer &competitive analysis), sets the list of actions and timelines together with the bid team.
- Coaches and chases content contributors and interlocks with the quality team to improve proposals constantly, reviews and critiques content.
• Ensures that all relevant processes are followed. Manages off-line approvals.
• Builds the bid presentation.
• Feedbacks new content to the Knowledge Base Manager.
