Role Purpose:
The Scrum Master for Agile teams will be responsible for facilitating Agile ceremonies, removing impediments, and enabling continuous improvement. In a SAFe Agile telecom environment, the Scrum Master plays a pivotal role in aligning team efforts with business goals, ensuring delivery of high-quality telecom applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Agile Facilitation & Coaching:
•Guide the team on Agile/Scrum practices and SAFe principles.
•Facilitate all Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
•Coach team members on Agile values and behaviors to foster a high-performing culture.
Team Enablement & Delivery:
•Ensure the team is focused on sprint goals and delivery commitments.
•Track and report on team performance, velocity, and sprint progress.
•Support the team in achieving sprint goals by removing blockers and coordinating with external stakeholders.
Cross-Team Collaboration:
•Collaborate with Product Owners, Release Train Engineers (RTEs), and other Scrum Masters to ensure alignment across Agile Release Trains (ARTs).
•Participate in Scrum of Scrums and PI Planning sessions to synchronize dependencies and objectives.
Governance & Reporting:
•Maintain transparency through dashboards, capacity planning, and utilization tracking.
•Support compliance, documentation, and audit processes as required by the telecom environment.
Continuous Improvement:
•Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement through retrospectives and feedback loops.
•Encourage innovation and experimentation to improve team dynamics and delivery outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
•6+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile/SAFe environments.
•Strong understanding of SAFe configurations (Essential, Large Solution, Full SAFe).
•Proficiency in Agile tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, and PowerPoint.
•Excellent facilitation, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
•Experience in telecom application development or enterprise IT systems.
