About this Role
As an IPT Engineer within the Unified Communications Operations team, the individual will play a pivotal role in supporting Cisco Unified Communications services and Voice over IP (VoIP) solutions for global enterprise customers. This role is based in Bangalore and is part of the VNO function. The successful candidate will be responsible for incident resolution, change implementation, and configuration management to ensure high availability and performance of services. The role demands proactive problem-solving, collaboration across teams, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
What you will do
- Manage customer IPT/IPCC estates and respond rapidly to incidents and problems.
- Perform move, add, or delete changes on the network following standard change processes.
- Handle configuration management, performance monitoring, and trend analysis.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure service reliability.
- Request and manage vendor support activities.
- Resolve technical issues for external customers and participate in relevant conference calls.
- Maintain and improve the knowledge and inventory database.
- Ensure timely maintenance and restoration of all servers.
- Resolve faults within agreed SLAs and work to reduce resolution times.
Who you are
You are a technically proficient and detail-oriented professional with over 2 years of experience in VoIP/IPT engineering. You possess strong knowledge of Cisco Voice technologies and protocols, and you are committed to delivering high-quality service to customers. You are collaborative, adaptable, and capable of working in a dynamic environment with operational accountability.
