What you’ll do
As an Analyst in General Ledger, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial processes.
- You will be responsible for preparing and posting manual SAP journals for intercompany transactions, monitoring monthly revaluations, and preparing detailed analyses to explain their impact.
- You will reconcile balance sheet accounts using the Certification Tool, prepare annual financial statements and internal reports within agreed deadlines, and support interactions with external auditors for both individual and consolidated financial statements.
- Additionally, you will act as the Intercompany Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for balance reconciliations, review month-end adjustments made by other teams, and formulate and update month-end closing procedures.
- You will also raise Payment Orders in the Intercompany Tool, actively participate in projects impacting the SAP accounting system, and communicate project details clearly to all stakeholders. Collaboration with General Ledger analysts and the ICO team from Vodafone Shared Services will be essential, as will maintaining and making changes to accounting accounts in SAP.
- You will act as an intermediary between the FinOps team and FP&A and SSO, ensuring compliance with internal regulations, policies, and the Vodafone Group Code of Conduct. Participation in mandatory internal courses and professional development programs will be required, along with setting individual and group objectives with your direct manager.
- You will also participate in other activities or projects as designated by department management
Who you are
- A candidate with a completed higher education degree
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with fluency in English
- At least 3 years of professional experience in the financial field
- Mandatory experience with SAP – ERP
- Knowledge of Local GAAP and IFRS
- Good understanding of reporting and accounting concepts
- Good understanding of the telecommunications industry and infrastructure
- Excellent conceptual skills
- Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and with a quality-conscious mindset
- Result-oriented approach
