What you’ll do

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for the availability, relevance, and integrity of data used for reporting and analysis. You will collaborate closely with the IT department to lead transformational projects, integrating new operational systems for external clients.

Who you are

  • Coordinate projects, programs, and reporting initiatives within the Data Management and Engineering team.
  • Act as a liaison between the team and other stakeholders, facilitating communication and ensuring the successful implementation of reporting requests.
  • Ensure data sources are aligned and integrated into unified data structures, supporting comprehensive reporting and analysis.
  • Collaborate with the IT department on data warehouse projects, including business project management, source system analysis, data model design, and integration testing.
  • Design and maintain the SAS D&A data mart structure for external clients, developing data loading processes and semantic layers for interactive reports and visualizations.
  • Provide consultancy to identify relevant data sources for new reports.
  • Develop and deliver data processing solutions for complex client requests, requiring advanced programming and data source knowledge.
  • Manage the Reference Data Management process, maintaining business input nomenclatures in the data warehouse.
  • Monitor data quality, identify anomalies, and contribute to the improvement of automated controls in operational processes and systems.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 3-4 years of professional experience in database programming, reporting, project management, and system design.
  • Preferable experience in business analysis within the telecom sector.
  • Knowledge of database design and architecture, SQL programming, and business intelligence applications (e.g., Business Objects, SAS).
  • Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proactive, results-oriented, and creative with strong initiative.
