Data Insights Specialist - maternity cover
Your day to day:
The purpose of this role is to translate data into meaningful information that promote business performance and enable data driven decision-making. The Data Insights Specialist is responsible to create data models and to provide visibility and analysis over key business measurements and performance indicators within the customer organization.
This includes assessing and defining business requirements from the customer, transforming them in technical specifications and designing tailored solutions based on business stakeholders needs and creating fully digitized dashboards that meet the acceptance criteria. Providing data and business insights based on the trends, patterns and anomalies observed represent the added value that the role can bring into the business.
Additionally, the role is in charge with databases administration, maintenance and update and ensuring the connection between different data sources that enables successful implementation of the solutions developed for the customers.

• Collection and formalize the business requirements to develop and update software as part of data management process
• Create data models and digitized dashboards using Microsoft Excel and Power BI tools to enable business stakeholders to take data driven decisions
• Understand and apply the data architecture best practices [e.g., data normalization rules, data validation and consistency, etc.] in the data models created, while devising and implementing automation solutions for data collection, consolidation and visualization.
• Discuss and validate business requirements with other technical teams ( e.g. software development)
• Coordinates traceability during the solutions development, ensuring the conformity with the business requirements, as agreed with the customer, aiming to identify and implement risk mitigation and continuous improvement of the processes and tools used in business analysis
• Actively involved in deliverables testing, facilitating the solution testing between the customer and developer
• Explore opportunities out of the box functionalities to set up simple processes for data collection and visualization and for lean governance set up
• Work with business stakeholders to define metrics and performance indicators which are relevant to the business needs and goals.
• Support the business stakeholders to define clear requirements and acceptance criteria for the assigned projects/tasks. Drive change in the existing business as usual activity.
• Create insights from the existing data by analysing trends, distributions, anomalies etc. as well as creating management reports reflecting important metrics. Prepare data insights for decision taking and highlight fields of attention based on metrics and KPIs (prepare management decision templates, dashboard, data insights, etc.)
• Interact with Portfolio representatives to foster harmonized governance mechanisms and data insights throughout the entire process. Set Guidelines for data maintenance and compliance and ensure data quality
With these skills you are a great candidate:
• Experience of 4+ years in a role that requires extensive data analysis and structure of big volumes of data.
• Experience in data modelling that allows transparency and data insights throughout the entire process
• Excellent data management skills in Excel, Power BI and relational databases.
• Previous experience in designing and implementing dashboards using business intelligence tools [e.g. Power BI];
• Outstanding analytical skills combined with a consultative approach towards the business stakeholders.
• Good communication skills. Build trustful relationships with stakeholders on various level in the organization
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
• University degree preferred in computer science / statistics / economics / mathematics / statistics or equivalent.
• Excellent English skills (verbal and written);
• Knowledge of relational databases principles is a must.
• Ability to spot deviations, discover hidden trends and patterns and ultimately conceive meaningful insights that address business problems.
• Essential: Excellent data modelling and statistical skills.
• Very good MS Office skills
• Very good MS Power BI skills
• Very good conceptual skills and strategic thinking
• Precise presentation of concepts and results
