About this Role

We are seeking a Fixed Access Project Delivery Engineer to join our Network Strategy and Engineering team within the Fixed Access Delivery Unit. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering fixed access technology projects throughout the Project Portfolio Management (PPM) lifecycle, from feasibility and design support through to implementation, acceptance, rollout readiness, and operational handover. You will work closely with engineering teams, business stakeholders, suppliers, and service providers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality, security, and operational standards. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to complex telecommunications projects while collaborating across international and cross-functional teams.

What you’ll do

  • Support the implementation of product and service requirements during feasibility assessment and High Level Design phases.
  • Be accountable for project delivery throughout the Project Portfolio Management lifecycle from delivery initiation to rollout readiness and operational handover.
  • Coordinate resources, priorities, budgets, stakeholders, suppliers, and service providers required for successful project execution.
  • Create, maintain, and manage project plans, ensuring effective tracking of milestones, risks, and dependencies.
  • Monitor project progress, report project status, identify deviations from baseline plans, and drive corrective actions where required.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, security, data protection, operational safety, quality, and change management requirements.
  • Manage project budgets during the delivery phase and oversee budget utilisation against forecasts.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments and geographical locations to achieve delivery objectives.
  • Support Low Level Design development in alignment with approved High Level Design principles.
  • Produce and maintain project documentation and delivery reports.

Who you are

  • Degree in Communication Technology, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience within the telecommunications industry.
  • Strong knowledge of project management and process management methodologies.
  • Understanding of change management and quality management standards, including DIN ISO9001.
  • Knowledge of fixed access network technologies and complex telecommunications infrastructures.
  • Experience with collaboration and task-tracking tools is advantageous.
  • Fluent German and English language skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
  • Knowledge of stage-gate product development processes and/or agile development approaches is beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and maintain a structured approach in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Commitment to quality, cost awareness, accountability, and continuous learning.
