About this Role

We are seeking a software engineering professional to join our Digital Operations Teams and contribute to the transformation of Vodafone into a Digital Telco. This role focuses on building and maintaining modern software solutions that automate operational processes and support Vodafone Europe Networks Operations. The role offers the opportunity to work with contemporary technologies, open-source libraries, and collaborative, international teams.

What you will do

  • Design, implement, and maintain modern software solutions using PHP and JavaScript (TypeScript).
  • Build and enhance backend services using PHP 8+ (Symfony 7+, API Platform 3+, Doctrine 2) or TypeScript (NestJS).
  • Develop user-facing components using TypeScript and React.
  • Contribute to Build & Release management strategies, including CI/CD pipelines.
  • Produce clear documentation for software solutions and development processes.
  • Ensure high-quality code and products through testing practices and constructive code reviews.

Who you are

  • An individual with hands-on experience in PHP 8+ (Symfony, API Platform, Doctrine) or TypeScript (NestJS) for backend development.
  • Experienced in TypeScript and React for frontend development.
  • Comfortable working with relational databases, data structures, and core backend concepts.
  • Familiar with shell scripting and operating system commands.
  • Someone who values clean, efficient, decoupled, and maintainable code.
  • Experienced in working within international and cross-functional environments.
  • Familiar with agile software development practices.
  • Open to developing new skills beyond current areas of expertise.
  • Confident in verbal and written communication in English.
  • Exposure to DevOps practices is welcomed.
