About this Role
What you’ll do
- Implement the Data Core IP LAN and Integrity Evolution Plan within the relevant local markets.
- Align local engineering implementation across cluster countries with regional designs, standards and technology roadmaps.
- Execute the regional engineering strategy for IP LAN and network integrity.Own country-level IP LAN low-level designs.
- Define reusable templates and support the modularisation and standardisation of configuration items.Design and deploy network solutions that meet capacity, capability and utilisation requirements for services and applications.
- Develop implementation processes that support consistent quality and efficient delivery.Contribute to the simplification and harmonisation of network infrastructure and help reduce design and implementation costs.
- Support budget execution for IP LAN and network integrity activities across the cluster countries.Define, plan and schedule network interventions while supporting the change management process.Perform quality assurance and optimisation throughout network design and implementation.
- Test, accept and audit deployed solutions.Hand over accepted solutions to operations and maintenance teams.
- Produce and maintain testing, quality assurance and network documentation.Harmonise IP LAN, Office LAN and data centre environments across European markets.
- Enable secure and reliable access across converged wired and wireless networks, including guest services and third-party connectivity.Promote network standards across local markets.
- Support network innovation and continuous improvement.
- Build effective working relationships with network operations, IT, local technology teams and engineering stakeholders.Support configuration activities, special projects and the resolution of emergency situations.
- Analyse network performance and identify opportunities for optimisation
Who you are
- You have at least three years of experience in Cisco ACI design and integration, including Multi-Site and Multi-Pod deployments in both network-centric and application-centric environments.
- You hold a university degree in telecommunications or a related technical field and have relevant professional experience.
- You have solid knowledge of network design, network architecture and Office LAN environments.
- You understand TCP/IP, network protocols, structures, hardware and security principles.You have experience installing and configuring routers, switches, VPN gateways, firewalls, proxies and related network components.
- You understand routing protocols, voice over IP, wireless LAN, DHCP, DNS and Active Directory.
- You have knowledge of network management, monitoring and analysis.
- You understand security policies, encryption, authentication, authorisation, accounting, 802.1X, public key infrastructure and certificates.You bring operational experience and can translate complex requirements into practical network solutions.
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.You can collaborate effectively across functions, countries and cultures.
- You have experience coordinating projects, activities or technical workstreams.You can build productive relationships with stakeholders across different markets.
- You are focused on network quality, customer outcomes and measurable results.You are comfortable identifying and supporting opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement
