About this Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Delivery Lead to manage and coordinate the full lifecycle of complex technology projects across an international matrix environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of new and enhanced technology solutions, from requirements definition and solution design through implementation, testing, governance, financial management, and project closure. The successful candidate will work closely with global stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and business partners to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in line with agreed quality standards.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and coordinate the end-to-end delivery of one or more complex IT projects across international and cross-functional teams.
  • Manage IT solution teams throughout the design phase, ensuring solution requirements are defined, agreed, and delivered.
  • Plan, monitor, and track solution design and development activities.
  • Create and maintain key project documentation, including RDD, SDD and IDD documents.
  • Prepare governance deliverables and ensure compliance with project management standards.
  • Organise project kick-off activities involving development, testing, IT operations, cloud infrastructure, vendors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans using waterfall, Agile, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Facilitate recurring project governance and progress review meetings.
  • Deliver accurate project and programme status reporting to stakeholders.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, dependencies, milestones, and delivery commitments.
  • Consolidate and validate IT effort and cost estimations from vendors and delivery teams.
  • Prepare project cost sheets and support funding approval processes.
  • Monitor project expenditure, purchase orders, goods receipts, statements of work, and supplier payments.
  • Manage project financial performance for budgets typically ranging from €500k to €10m.
  • Maintain and drive resolution of project risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAID).
  • Engage security stakeholders and ensure all required security deliverables are completed and compliant.
  • Support test planning, test execution oversight, validation activities, and test completion reporting where applicable.
  • Coordinate delivery across solution vendors, software partners, infrastructure teams, product teams, architects, finance teams, and operational stakeholders.
  • Build collaborative relationships across international matrix teams of 20 to 50 individuals.
  • Escalate risks and issues appropriately to ensure informed decision-making and delivery continuity.

Who you are

  • Proven experience in project scope definition, detailed planning, programme execution, financial management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering technology projects on time, within budget, and to agreed specifications.
  • Experience managing multiple complex projects across the full product or solution delivery lifecycle.
  • Extensive experience working within international matrix organisations and cross-functional delivery teams.
  • Strong understanding of project governance, risk management, change management, and delivery frameworks.
  • Experience working with solution vendors, development partners, and third-party suppliers.
  • Knowledge of project and programme management tools such as PPM, Microsoft Project, Jira, and Confluence.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience within a technology, digital, or IT services delivery environment.
  • Good understanding of IT architecture, infrastructure, and application ecosystems.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, decision-making, and escalation management skills.
  • Highly organised with a methodical approach to planning and delivery.
  • Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Degree educated, preferably in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or Management.
  • Professional certification in Prince2, PMP, Agile, SAFe, or an equivalent project management framework.
  • Knowledge of budget planning, cost control, and financial governance processes.
