Your day to day:

  • Develop, manage, and optimize IBM Informix Databases, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
  • Work with PHP to integrate and maintain Informix-based applications.
  • Support and troubleshoot 3rd-level incidents—because sometimes, things don’t go as planned.
  • Collaborate with teams using Agile and Waterfall methodologies (yes, both—because flexibility is key).
  • Utilize Java (beginner to mid-level) when needed, but don’t worry, you won’t be thrown into deep Java waters.
  • Communicate in German with stakeholders—clarifying requirements and ensuring smooth project delivery.

  • Keep critical applications running smoothly by troubleshooting and managing Informix databases.
  • Contribute to both IT delivery and application administration, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Play a key role in project delivery, from development to release, supporting business needs with smart solutions.
  • Help maintain a structured and efficient development workflow, reducing surprises and last-minute fixes.

With these skills you are a great candidate:

Must-Have:

  • Strong experience with Informix DB—developing, managing, and optimizing it.
  • PHP expertise, especially in combination with Informix DB.
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Mid-senior level experience with PHP and Informix DB.
  • Beginner to mid-level Java—just enough to be dangerous (in a good way).

Nice-to-Have:

  • German language skills—to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Project management skills—supporting releases and agile scrums.
  • Strong communication skills—to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders.
