Your day to day:

Provides support and collaborates with software developers to provide and improve IoT services in Vodafone's portfolio for enterprise customers. Operates and ensures a high availability of services, regularly develops automation scripts and constantly seeks to optimize existing working methods. Implements changes and maintenance works on the software solutions used by the client, writes implementation documents and changes to the current configuration / code and implements according to existing procedures.

With these activities you will have a great impact on our business:

  • To deliver technical support for network applications and systems (2nd Line support), both during and outside business hours by ensuring on-call availability: troubleshoot, service restauration, problem investigation, change implementation
  • Performs daily health-checks and constantly seek to improve the existing ones for the platforms and services in support
  • For some of the solutions delivered, modifies, and adapts existing software solutions for a better performance and customer experience.
  • Provides technical information to customers about events and alarms that affect services, using agreed methods of communication.
  • Analyzes information gathered from customers and/or performance monitoring systems, proposes solutions and transmits the results/recommendations towards other technical teams to change and adapt software solutions for dedicated equipment. The outcome is reflected in the resolving of complex technical incidents (including software bugs), ensuring an improved customer experience.
  • Reviews functional and technical specifications of the IT systems within the process of modification or adjustment of the hardware and software solutions.

With these skills you are a great candidate:

  • Good understanding of ITIL principles
  • Good operational knowledge, able to debug and troubleshoot application issues on Linux servers
  • Good understanding of Vodafone IoT GDSP platform and services
  • Basic knowledge of Unix scripting
  • Basic understanding of: APIs (SOAP and REST), Microservices
  • Basic knowledge of Oracle Database SQL
  • Basic knowledge / understanding of IP Networking and Telecom architecture and Protocols (SMPP, RADIUS/DIAMETER, SS7 signalling)
  • Experience in a multinational environment (minimum 1 year)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (both written and spoken)
