It Budget Controller
Your day to day:
The Corporate Systems and Analytics [CS&A] organization delivers, operates, maintains and continuously improves Vodafone IT Platforms and Applications for Group functions across Finance, HR, SCM, Consumer Commercial and BI. It is E2E accountable for technology across all _VOIS centres and it drives the Analytics & Data Ocean Services transformation for Vodafone.
The IT Budget Controller role will support the CS&A organization with finance related activities, to provide support to the CS&A Finance department and Operational Excellence management.
With these activities, you will have a great impact on our business:
• Work with Budget/ Project/ Programme Managers to ensure the budget for all areas is controlled and in line with approvals and any changes to spend are communicated to Finance. This involves weekly and monthly interactions with budget owners and cost centre managers.
• Engage with all the senior stakeholders across the CS&A organization, Finance, Vodafone Procurement Company (VPC), to ensure successful programme control across the projects or programmes.
• Carry out project accounting activities from budget tracker management and spend analysis/variance reporting, to monthly forecasting, commitment receipting, month end reconciliation.
• Manage and consolidate financial reporting, ad-hoc reporting requirements across a number of projects or programmes and handle PO-related reporting or queries and support.
• Run regular calls with project/programme to review budget and act as an advisor in budget related activity and decisions
• Analyse budget forecasts, communicate changes and performance.
• Provide regular budget status reports as required by project/programme, Operational Excellence management and Finance Decision support (FDS).
• Ensure all requests are tracked and reported.
• Monitor and follow-up the approvals process for Shopping Cart and GRNs. Report on a regular basis and escalate to line manager if required.
• Comply with reporting requirements as per agreed set of reports.
With these skills, you are a great candidate:
• Proficient user in SAP Supply Chain module.
• Good understanding of the financial principles [e.g. cost centre structure, project WBS structure];
• Understanding of cost treatment accounting rules
• Good understanding of the cost treatment process [CAPEX/OPEX];
• Proficient in MS Office applications with special respect to Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to engage peers and stakeholders at any level of the organization;
• Strong written and oral communications skills in English.
• University degree, preferred in computer science / statistics / economics / mathematics / statistics or equivalent;
• Minimum 2 years prior experience in Finance or Supply Chain.
