Lean Portfolio Specialist
Your day to day:
The PMO (Demand role) operates across EP&S portfolio, supporting Programme Managers, Project Managers, PMO resource, & RTE/STE with successful delivery of their programmes and projects. This includes portfolio and project feature delivery from planning through to closure. Your main responsibilities will involve:
- Provide programmes & delivery teams with methodology guidelines and standards to support a consistent running delivery of all Programmes and Projects within the portfolios
- Work alongside the agile release trains to ensure successful delivery
- Maintain the delivery backlog & follow progress
- Monitor portfolio JIRA data quality and recommend corrective actions
- Gather and validate VBPS KPI data for trains
- Run training sessions and oversee creation of new content
With these activities you will have a great impact on our business:
- Oversee the delivery & data quality from, programme or project in all relevant tools (including description, plan, milestones)
- Run regular data audits to validate accuracy and timeliness of data across programme/project plans, RAID, governance, reporting etc
- Drive the adoption of portfolio management standards and best practice
- Run training session for new team members to encourage a consistent programme management approach
- Lead PMO working groups to share best practice and lessons learned across the portfolio
With these skills you are a great candidate:
- Able to communicate and drive outcomes effectively over multiple seniorities/roles/teams in a large matrix organisation
- JIRA and Confluence – advanced understanding of tool features
- MS PowerBI – proficiency in developing and modifying visuals and measures
- Knowledge of Agile frameworks, eg SAFe, Scrum, Kanban
- SAFe, PMP, MSP or Prince2
- Expert in MS Office Suite
