About this Role

We are seeking a Lean Portfolio Specialist to support the alignment of delivery with strategic goals and optimise value flow across portfolios. This role is pivotal in facilitating governance, coaching stakeholders on lean methodologies, and ensuring best practices in portfolio management. The individual will be responsible for maintaining JIRA structures, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring high-quality data and artefacts across delivery streams.

What you will do

  • Define and maintain JIRA portfolio structures.
  • Act as the Delivery subject matter expert, guiding stakeholders in lean methodology and JIRA usage.
  • Provide training and coaching to portfolio stakeholders.
  • Ensure assurance of RAIDs, governance artefacts, and key data points across the portfolio flow.
  • Analyse data and drive corrections, including status report delivery.
  • Facilitate portfolio management events such as leadership calls, RAG reviews, and OPS forums.
  • Conduct periodic assessments of delivery KPIs using PowerBI and JIRA.
  • Promote continuous improvement and share best practices across portfolios of varying maturity.

Who you are

  • Skilled communicator with the ability to influence across seniorities and teams in a matrix organisation.
  • Constructive challenger and coach with deep knowledge of the SAFe Framework.
  • Experienced in Agile portfolio management or solution teams.
  • Organised and capable of managing multiple workstreams and priorities.
  • Independent and proactive, with strong remote working capabilities.
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to identify trends and recommend mitigations.
  • Confident presenter to senior management.
