About this Role

We are seeking an experienced DevOps professional to support, operate and continuously improve Network-as-a-Platform (NaaP) services within Vodafone’s enterprise portfolio. This role focuses on ensuring high availability, operational excellence and smooth transition of solutions from development into live environments through structured validation, testing and implementation. Based in Bucharest, the role combines hands-on technical expertise with collaboration across development, operations and partner teams in a multinational environment.

What you will do

  • Provide second-line technical support for network applications and systems, including participation in on-call rotations outside standard business hours.
  • Support planning, assessment, implementation, rollout and readiness activities for releases and change requests.
  • Contribute actively to project decision-making, agreeing on measurable and realistic delivery timelines.
  • Design, create and maintain CI/CD pipelines and code repositories to enhance deployment processes.
  • Review, validate and update existing and newly introduced features.
  • Manage and resolve incidents, problems and service requests, including defining and implementing workarounds.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and automation, developing scripts and Infrastructure as Code solutions.
  • Operate services in line with agreed service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Share knowledge and contribute to capability building across the team to improve customer service outcomes.
  • Provide operational and technical input for feasibility studies, including cost estimations across the service lifecycle.
  • Modify and adapt software solutions, where required, to improve performance and customer experience.
  • Analyse impacts, design and implement technical solutions to address complex incidents and advanced technical issues.
  • Manage sustainable relationships with internal and external partners to ensure SLA compliance and continuous service improvement.

Long Description

  • An individual with a solid understanding of DevOps principles and Agile ways of working.
  • A professional with at least three years of technical experience in cloud-based environments, particularly AWS.
  • Experienced in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, and version control using Git.
  • Confident working with Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, MongoDB and REST APIs.
  • Skilled in scripting or programming using languages such as Python, Groovy or Go.
  • Comfortable debugging and troubleshooting applications on Linux-based systems.
  • Experienced in operating applications within large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Familiar with Flask frameworks and OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
  • Able to communicate clearly and confidently in English, both written and spoken.
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices is beneficial.
  • Holds a Bachelor’s degree, with relevant certifications such as LPIC-1/2, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator and
  • MongoDB Certified Developer considered advantageous.
