About this Role
What you’ll do
- Lead and govern the weekly Spend Approval cycle across NSE for the central baseline, ensuring robust validation, challenge and executive approval of investment requests.
- Own and continuously enhance Spend Approval governance processes, ensuring compliance with Capital Allocation Policy requirements.
- Drive central baseline prioritisation activities, aligning investment decisions with strategic objectives, delivery plans and value outcomes.
- Act as the senior business authority within Agile delivery teams, guiding the development and implementation of Spend Approval automation solutions.
- Lead organisational adoption of automated Spend Approval processes through effective stakeholder engagement, communication and change management.
- Identify and implement opportunities to embed AI capabilities within Spend Approval processes to improve efficiency, decision support and business insight.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across business, finance and technology functions to enable informed investment decisions.
- Develop and present executive-ready analysis, insights and recommendations to support strategic planning and capital allocation activities.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives across planning and governance processes to enhance transparency, consistency and operational efficiency.
Who you are
- Degree qualified in Engineering, Technology, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
- Significant experience in technology planning, business planning or a related strategic environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and experience working within cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in process leadership, transformation initiatives and project delivery.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, with the ability to evaluate business cases, assess investment proposals and challenge assumptions constructively.
- Knowledge of the telecommunications industry, including network planning drivers, technology evolution and business planning principles.
- Good understanding of software and hardware technology roadmaps and their impact on investment planning decisions.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills with the ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable business insights.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience engaging senior leaders across multiple functions.
- Strong communication and presentation skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to build collaborative relationships and drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Interest and experience in leveraging automation and AI technologies to improve business outcomes and decision-making.
