About this Role
We are seeking an OSS Fulfilment Developer to design, develop and deploy software components and integrations for OSS Fulfilment solutions. The role focuses on translating solution designs into robust, maintainable code, supporting complex troubleshooting, and contributing to system modernisation and harmonisation initiatives. This position is based in Bucharest and reports to the OSS Fulfilment Developments Team Leader.
What you’ll do
- Develop and maintain OSS Fulfilment services, APIs, integrations and automation components.
- Lead technical design at component level, perform code reviews and support consistent engineering standards.
- Contribute to testing strategy, including unit testing, integration testing, CI/CD pipelines and non-functional requirements.
- Support release planning, capacity planning, incident resolution and defect management for complex technical topics.
- Mentor developers and contribute to technical documentation, including HLD, LLD, runbooks and diagrams.
- Work with Solution Authorities, Business Analysts, operations and support teams to refine requirements, acceptance criteria and stable deployments.
- Identify refactoring and modernisation opportunities that reduce technical complexity and support long-term maintainability.
Who you are
- You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, telecommunications or an equivalent field.
- You bring 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering and enterprise integration.
- You have strong hands-on Java development experience within enterprise or OSS/BSS application environments, including design, implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of components and integrations. [
- You have solid experience with relational databases, SQL and Oracle technologies, including practical PL/SQL knowledge for analysing, troubleshooting and supporting database-driven application logic.
- You are familiar with integration technologies and enterprise interface patterns used in OSS environments, such as JDBC, XML-based interfaces, HTTP/XML, SOAP services and database-driven integrations.
- You have good knowledge of Shell scripting and automation practices that support build, deployment, maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
- You have practical experience with technologies and frameworks such as Spring Boot, XSLT and Oracle OSM.
- You understand software testing practices, integration testing, defect analysis, release support and deployment activities in controlled environments.
- You have hands-on experience with version control and delivery toolchains used in enterprise development environments, including Git, CI/CD and automated testing.
- You can support complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis and contribute to technical documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- You have a good practical understanding of Artificial Intelligence concepts and experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve coding, testing and troubleshooting efficiency.
- You can apply AI-driven approaches while maintaining code quality, maintainability and alignment with enterprise standards.
- You communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken, and collaborate well across multi-functional and multicultural teams.
- Experience in OSS or telecom domains is desirable.
