About this Role

As a Service Design Specialist, you will be responsible for the end-to-end service design of Internet of Things (IoT) products and services within your assigned projects. This includes initial assessments, business process design, documentation, and alignment with technical and operational teams. You will define customer-centric solutions and contribute to the operational support model, ensuring a seamless experience across the Sell-Build-Run cycle, including onboarding, billing, and support. A key deliverable in this role is the Service Design Document, which supports cost optimisation, enhances customer experience, and embeds best practices throughout the service lifecycle.

Who are you

You are a structured and collaborative individual with a strong understanding of service design principles and customer lifecycle management. You bring experience in business analysis, process modelling, and stakeholder engagement, and are comfortable working across geographically dispersed teams. You are committed to delivering high-quality documentation and ensuring alignment across technical and operational functions.

What you will do

•    Define service design processes across the full lifecycle of IoT products and services within assigned projects.
•    Support the mapping of business processes aligned with technical and operational capabilities.
•    Document service design deliverables, including the Service Design Document, ensuring clarity and alignment across teams.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement the operational support model.
•    Ensure consistency and quality across the Sell-Build-Run cycle, including onboarding, billing, and support.
•    Contribute to seamless customer experiences through structured service design.

What skills you need

•    University degree, preferably in technology-related fields such as engineering, telecommunications, or computer science.
•    Experience in IT business analysis, process modelling and design, problem management, consulting, or customer experience.
•    Proven knowledge of customer lifecycle design and a good understanding of how telecom networks and applications interact to impact business processes.
•    Experience in project coordination and the ability to operate within a geographically dispersed matrix organisation.
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to suit diverse audiences.
•    Strong influencing and negotiation skills, with the ability to present future-state solutions and secure stakeholder buy-in.
