About this Role

We are seeking a Privacy Operations Specialist to support Vodafone’s global effort to protect the privacy of over 500 million customers and employees. In this role, the individual will contribute to the Group Privacy team’s end‑to‑end operational activities, including Privacy by Design, assurance, incident support, supplier compliance and requests management. This position is part of the Security Operations function at VOIS Romania and is suited for candidates with early‑career privacy or legal experience who are passionate about data protection in a dynamic and technology‑driven environment.

What you will do

  • Support Privacy by Design activities by conducting privacy impact assessments across diverse data processing operations.
  • Manage incoming privacy‑related requests by accurately triaging, categorising, and processing them in a timely manner.
  • Respond to Subject Access Requests and similar data rights requests for Vodafone Group personnel.
  • Assist with the initial investigation and documentation of privacy incidents.
  • Support supplier compliance processes and related assessments.
  • Conduct re‑assessments of high‑ and medium‑risk personal data processing activities.
  • Perform records management and quality assurance tasks.
  • Support periodic Policy Compliance Reviews across functional areas.
  • Assist in developing and embedding privacy notices, templates, guidance, and process documentation.
  • Contribute to external and internal data protection terms as required.
  • Provide support to the Group Privacy team across any additional privacy missions or initiatives.

Who you are

  • Experience in reviewing and working with contracts, including data protection clauses.
  • Working knowledge of global privacy frameworks, particularly in technology and online service environments.
  • Familiarity with compliance management standards, methodologies, and best‑practice approaches.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Experience with tools such as OneTrust and Jira is an advantage.
  • 1–2+ years’ experience in privacy or legal fields.
