Your day to day

As a Reporting Specialist / Data Analyst for Vodafone Romania Technologies you will be part of an international team responsible for developing strategic tools used by Vodafone Group & local markets. Your work involves research into finding and implementing the proper technical solutions that correspond to business requirements and at the same time that fit Vodafone’s strategy.  The developed solutions are complex, containing databases, business logic, user interfaces and integrations with other components and systems. In this process you the opportunity to experiment various technologies and tools.

With these activities you will have a great impact on our business:

  • Develop well-structure data pipelines following company standards
  • Create, maintain and optimize the data pipeline to support the creation of detailed business cases
  • Drive Automation through effective data management
  • Responsible for using innovative and modern tools, techniques and architectures to partially or completely automate the most-common, repeatable and common data preparation and integration tasks in order to minimize manual and error-prone processes and improve productivity.
  • Document enhancements made and system changes
  • Create new insights through programming and integration of new data sources deployed in BI tools to improve transparency and enable better administration
  • Design and maintain skilled data models to support front end dashboards
  • Enable automation of analysis and reporting in BI tools

With these skills you are a great candidate:

  • Strong data mapping and data analysis skills and experience
  • Experience of supporting the development of data analysis and data mapping tools and techniques would be desirable.
  • Expertise in data manipulation: use of structured data tools (e.g., SQL & Python).
  • Desirable to have additional skills with unstructured data and cloud platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, NoSQL)
  • Significant experience using Python is essential.
