What you’ll do
As a Finance Business Partner reporting to the Global Finance BP Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving financial insight and strategic decision-making across key departments. You’ll lead a high-performing team, guiding their development while ensuring alignment with VSS Finance objectives. Your day-to-day will involve deep financial analysis, budget coordination, and forecasting, all aimed at identifying value-generating opportunities and supporting operational excellence. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, evaluate financial models, and deliver meaningful reporting that influences outcomes. Whether it’s preparing business cases, analysing cost drivers, or supporting pricing strategies, your work will help shape the financial future of Vodafone Group.
Business Partnering:
• Leads the RO Fin BP team in accordance with the objectives of VSS Finance, ensures the existence of skills and knowledge along with the development plans of the team members.
• Raise awareness regarding the risks from the budget execution and work in partnership with counterparts to identify mitigation / control actions.
• Oversee the reporting of actual vs budgeting, ensuring in-depth analysis of the root causes of deviations and trends.
• Coordinates the budgetary process of the departments by aligning with the instructions, targets and deadlines of GT Finance and VOIS Finance.
• Actively participate in the preparation of the mid- and long-term plans, budgets and forecasts for the operational expenses in assigned departments, as well as for the recharges to end customers.
• Support business functions to achieve their targets by reporting on savings programs and root causes for variances.
• Continuously and proactively adapt monthly / budget analysis to provide information that is relevant for the complexity and context of the business and to support the stakeholders in decision making;
• Evaluate changes in operation models/reporting needs; assess their impact on financial models and contribute to adapting them to meet business needs;
• Constantly update on business evolution, so as identify key drivers of variances and deliver insightful analysis & meaningful budgetary process;
• Work closely with the business to identify, implement and report robust value generating initiatives;
• Develop and deliver value reporting under the cost arbitrage, productivity and center of excellence pillars, with main focus on understanding the reasons for variances vs BC and budget;
• Understand business needs in terms of pricing the services delivered to customers, design and implement project within assigned department;
• Prepare business cases and financial models for business initiatives, and run post implementation reviews to identify any deviations;
Who you are
- A confident finance professional with strong commercial acumen and experience in financial analysis and modelling
- Someone who thrives on critical thinking and problem solving, and can make sound decisions under pressure
- A clear communicator with excellent presentation skills and the ability to influence stakeholders
- Fluent in English, with a collaborative mindset and a passion for delivering value
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and supporting operational departments is highly desirable
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- University Graduate with Accounting Professional Qualification
- ACCA / CIMA would be considered a plus
- 3+ Years post qualification experience in a finance analysis environment
