We work with customers across 28 countries from 10 VOIS locations: Albania, Egypt, Hungary, India, Romania, Spain, Turkey, UK, Germany, Ireland, and with a network of teams in Czech Republic, Italy, Greece, and Portugal.
About this Role
We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Software & Product Infrastructure team in Bucharest. This role involves developing and supporting complex software solutions that include databases, business logic, user interfaces, and system integrations. The successful candidate will collaborate with international teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions globally. As a senior or lead developer, the individual will guide technical direction, ensure coding standards, mentor junior colleagues, and contribute to architectural decisions and stakeholder communications.
What you will do
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including commercial partners and integrators.
- Work alongside Technical Product Owners, Solution Architects, and developers across multiple teams.
- Design, implement, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and maintainable codebases.
- Build algorithms, prototypes, predictive models, and proof of concepts based on business requirements.
- Conduct impact analysis and provide accurate time and effort estimates for new features.
- Coordinate development and delivery processes across the product lifecycle.
- Participate in agile ceremonies including daily scrums, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Document system changes and enhancements.
- Provide third-level support in collaboration with DevOps teams.
Who you are
- Experienced senior developer with a minimum of 5 years in software development.
- Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, JPA, REST APIs, Microservices, and AWS.
- Skilled in version control systems such as Git, GitLab, or GitHub.
- Understanding of relational and NoSQL database design and data normalisation.
- Familiar with CI/CD tools including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and development tools.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Capable of coordinating small development teams and fostering innovation.
- University degree preferred.
- Fluent in English (B2 or above); additional languages are an advantage.
