Your day to day:

As a Software Developer Team Leader at VOIS, you will lead a team responsible for developing strategic tools to enrich the Vodafone Group & local markets portfolios.  Your work involves guiding the team and working together with your colleagues on finding and implementing the proper technical solutions to implement the business requirements and at the same time fit Vodafone’s strategy for software engineering.

With these activities you will have a great impact on our business:

  • Team management: Lead a team of 7-12 developers and engineers to achieving the overall project goals
  • Performance management: Empowering team members to create well structured development plan in line with VOIS priorities.
  • KPIs: Define, monitor, and report performance metrics at project level
  • Features development: Coordinate the code development and delivery process based on requirements, considering all the aspects of product development life cycle
  • Standardization: Enhance and enforce standard ways of working at team and project level and contribute to standardizationa at the department level.Develop well-structured code following company standards
  • Team growth: Manage interviews and job openings and identify the suitable candidates for the role
  • Mentorship: Mentor colleagues who have less experience and contribute to their growth; Help colleagues in setting their career path and career goals and contribute to their learning journey
  • Team driver: Lead the team into exceling in a distributed team model environment
  • System integration: Provide impact analysis input on other depedent systems

With these skills you are a great candidate:

  • Demonstrated industry experience in software development
  • Demonstrated experience in leading the development of features, projects and complex integrations
  • Previous experience as team leader / tech leader / senior developer
  • Professional experience with data processing & data manipulation
  • Good experience with DevOps technologies: AWS, docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases
  • Versioning systems (Git)
  • Agile experience (preferably Scrum, SAFe is a plus)
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
