Your day to day:

 

  • Researching and evaluating all storage technologies, understanding exactly how they operate and how they will succeed or fail in our unique environment.
  • Participate in complex activities focusing on proper time management and provide equal contribution within the team on managing daily tasks and projects.
  • Design and develop complex configurations for our storage infrastructure in our global environment.
  • Root cause analysis assistance during complex issues (including coordination & involvement of third-party resources/vendor/multiple teams) to ensure the elimination of underlying causes of incidents.
  • Responsible for supporting Vodafone’s key business applications such as customer care, billing, e-commerce, SAP, and cloud.
  • Develop procedures and documentation to successfully transition storage platforms into operational support.
  • Contribute to our automation initiatives, having the opportunity to develop new ideas that will add value to our ways of working.
  • Assure 24hx7 support through the planning of proper on-call duty and using external vendor involvement as required.

With these activities you will have a great impact on our business:

 

  • IT systems administration experience >5 years.
  • To be able to operate and maintain the administration of storage devices, and related IT infrastructure components.
  • Excellent knowledge of implemented hardware and software solutions.
  • Senior skilled able to provide coaching to the team.
  • Working for international customers in cross-cultural teams is substantial in infrastructure services.
  • Creating an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.
  • Setting clear team goals.
  • Delegating tasks and setting deadlines for your internal team.
  • Monitor team performance and report on metrics.
  • Discover training needs and provide coaching.

With these skills you are a great candidate:

 

  • Very good knowledge of Dell EMC enterprise and midrange storage:

               - EMC Symmetrix Vmax (1, 2, 3, All Flash), Powermax, XtremIO, Vplex, VNX block/file, EMC Data Domain.

  • Hitachi enterprise storage systems:

              - HDS G, VSP, USP-V AMS.

  • Pure Storage.
  • Good knowledge of Cisco and Brocade SAN administration.
  • Unix, Linux, and Windows administration.
  • Python, Bash, KornShell scripting.
  • Experience in cloud computing and virtualization concepts.
  • Network skills.
  • ITIL knowledge.
  • High understanding of security principles and SOX regulations.

 

        Nice to have:

  • Storage & SAN Certifications.
  • Automation experience.
