About this Role
What you will do
- The Platform Operation and Business Service Engineer (Expert) is responsible for one or more UCC services sold to business customers, like Microsoft Teams Direct Routing, and ensures smooth operation from end to end. Within the Business Services Operation team, the candidate will be responsible of 1st and 2nd level support of a multi-vendor environment for VF DE UCC services for the German Business Customer market. In this context the candidate independently ensures sustainable solutions as part of the problem management process and regularly derives suggestions for improving the service quality and the troubleshooting process for the services for which the candidate is responsible.
- The candidate has direct interfaces to Group/European Engineering LifeCycle Management and Network Operation.

Who you are
- Extensive, several years of professional experience (>3 years)
- Experience in technical service management or quality management
- Fluent knowledge of German and English, both spoken and written
- Good knowledge of network/transmission/signaling protocols in the field of telecommunications
- Detailed understanding of main network and Telco protocols like TCP/IP, VoIP, SIP, RTP, Diameter, Wireshark traces
- Detailed understanding of cloud infrastructure like Linux VM, MS Azure, DNS management, Linux OS maintenance and upgrade
- Ideally Cisco certification as CCNA/CCNP (Routing & Switching, Voice/Collaboration)
- Solid fundamentals of access and core network technologies
