Transition Management Specialist
Your day to day:
- The Transition Management Specialist under as-needed supervision of the Transitions Coordinator is responsible for leading all aspects of a transition project multiple, small-scale change requests. This includes project scoping, planning, execution, timing, functionality, quality, communication and cost in order to manage the completion of work for a specific area.
- The Transition Management Specialist controls the critical path, contingencies, scope changes and budget (both labour and non-labour), coordinating the day-to-day activities of the project team from original concept through final implementation and ensures that resources are used efficiently. The overall responsibility is to ensure that the project is delivered on time and within budget and that it meets or exceeds expectations.
- The Transition Management Specialist does not manage alone any greenfield transition project or any transition for a completely new type of service for the centre. These are managed by the transition managers.
With these activities you will have a great impact on our business:
• Establish project plan and initiate project mobilization by confirming project scope, estimate, resources, roles and responsibilities.
• Monitor and control execution of project both from a delivery point of view (on time and with expected outcomes) and from a financial point of view (on budget).
• Provide leadership and decision making support by establishing project governance.
• Perform project reporting including overall performance of the program and project completion documentation.
With these skills you are a great candidate:
- Experience within a Transition PMO or project coordinator role
- Ability to manage relationships with internal business customers
- Experience of managing small projects, preferably transition projects
- Agile, PMP, SAFe orPMI knowledge (certifications are nice to have)
- ITIL Foundations understanding
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Strong written and oral communication skills. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- A good understanding of corporate account management, performance management, customer relationship management, product lifecycle management, supply chain management and supplier relationship management will be an advantage
