Your day to day: 

VCI Vendor Manager’s primary goal is to become a reliable Business partner and subject matter expert for all contract-related and tender activities with a direct accountability on Data Centre Management products and services. This means assisting and enabling key stakeholders to achieve their goals from contract definition, through its monitoring and correct execution, up to its termination and/ or renewal. 

With these activities you will have a great impact on our business:

  • Manage Vendor Relationship - engage with proper Vendor’s representatives in order to establish and maintain a sound and profitable relationship. 
  • Vendor performance – monitor, review and control vendor performances, share results with VCI management, identify and agree with Vendor improvement paths, implementation roadmap and monitor implementation execution. 
  • Vendor spent & financial – take knowledge and control of Vendor’s pricing policies and actual spent. 
  • Vendor Knowledge Base – guarantee that all relevant information (e.g. vendor’s representatives’ info) and documents (e.g. contracts and reports) are kept up to date and properly stored in VM knowledge base 
  • Contract Management – contribute to contracts negotiation. Have clearness on each contract’s detail and clauses and provide information when requested.

With these skills you are a great candidate:

  • Vendor Management experience (preferable in IT industry) 
  • Commercial and technical s Commercial and technical skills (ITIL, ITAM)  framework knowledge (preferable certification) 
  • Strong leadership and communication skills in order to influence and guide both internal and external stakeholders 
  • Project management knowledge  
  • Software asset management knowledge 
  • Experience / knowledge in Risk Management 
  • Deep Technological knowledge of key products and domains and expertise in terms of IT Hardware and Software models definition and applicability (e.g., physical, virtual, subscription, pay-per-use, tiered). 
  • Ability to work independently and achieve results and analyse complex situations in detail and operate with clarity. 
  • Ability and experience of managing teams at a senior level across global locations. 
  • Ability and sound skills in negotiation with third parties having clear in mind goals and objectives to be achieved.  
  • Sound judgement and decision making skills to address and resolve complex problems 
  • Influencer & good communicator, able to drive diverse stakeholders. 
  • Proven project/programme management delivery both in agile and waterfall environment 
  • Able to work effectively with industry contacts to develop a best practice and drive effectiveness and efficiency
