About this role

We are seeking a legal professional to support VOIS’s global privacy, data regulations and responsible AI initiatives. This role is suited to an individual with strong privacy and data regulatory expertise who can provide legal guidance across diverse business lines. You will work within a matrix environment, supporting strategic solutions, developing policies and processes, and contributing to external regulatory engagements that enable business innovation while ensuring compliance.

What you’ll do

  • Provide legal advice across privacy, data regulations, digital, AI and cyber-related matters relating to products, services, technology, and marketing.
  • Offer timely and accurate support on internal data disclosure and usage requests.
  • Monitor regulatory and legislative developments, drafting and updating internal policies, processes and standards.
  • Deliver legal review and support for key group processes, frameworks and compliance documentation.
  • Contribute to legal and contractual structures for data sharing across group entities, third parties and strategic partners.
  • Build awareness among internal stakeholders by designing and delivering impactful training on privacy and data regulations.
  • Support legal innovation initiatives including digitalisation, automation and process improvements.
  • Assist the Global Privacy Counsel in delivering VOIS’s global privacy programme, Responsible AI framework and wider digital compliance agenda.

Who you are

  • You have legal expertise in privacy, data protection, cybersecurity and confidentiality, ideally across telecommunications or technology sectors.
  • You bring strong analytical abilities and can communicate implications of complex regulatory matters clearly.
  • You demonstrate strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.
  • You thrive in a matrix environment, able to navigate ambiguity with resilience.
  • You are proactive, ethical, pragmatic and passionate about the societal impact of emerging technologies.
  • You hold a legal qualification and have at least 0–1 years of relevant experience in privacy or data regulatory areas.
  • You have at least 2 years of experience within tech, telco, a multinational organisation or private practice.
