Core IT Competence Center Manager 
for our Technology Department

Your place in the team
Manage converged systems in the IT Core domain that are developed and delivered/provided by External companies for both on-premise and SaaS setup. Be a single point of contact for strategic and escalation type discussions with vendors. Build, Lead and Manage a strong team of System experts having detailed knowledge in key IT systems and can provide consultancy, configuration and software design functions. Drive simplification and cost reduction within domain. Own vendor contracts for the applications, ensure Vodafone standards are always kept.

You will be involved in the following tasks
•    Setup and lead a strong team of System Experts for multiple applications
•    Build competence within team and keep it up to date with most recent updates
•    Drive software architectural knowledge and designs to be created by the team for the applications owned within domain
•    Be the IT owner of vendor contracts for the applications within the domain
•    Build framework that enables the team to do configuration of the systems and System Expert knowledge to make those changes.
•    Ensure all application in the domain are compliant and up-to-date with actual policies
•    Drive technical upgrade, license renewals, cloudification
•    Drive hand-on experience for the owned applications, get involved to testing and development support.
•    Manage and track commitments towards Business portfolio for both developments and configurations
•    Understand the business needs and implications of new services and translate them into System functions and requirements.
•    Ensures deliveries are on time and on quality
•    Acts as an escalation point
•    Create a motivating economy for the Expert teams
•    Negotiate functional and technical feasibility of solutions with systems suppliers, developers and/or other third parties
•    Facilitates the evaluation and simplification of the VF application portfolio
•    Make sure that the technical solutions fit into the existing and target VFH IT architecture
•    Review, validate and approve vendors’ proposals and quotations
•    Responsible for the control of the OPEX and CAPEX budget spending related to his/her projects
•    Understands and adapts the Vodafone Global Architecture and Application proposals
•    Supports the work and cooperate with the IT Architecture team.
•    Continuously improves his/her competence and technological knowledge in his area and related to the VFH’s application architecture.
•    Contributes to process development work by continuously evaluating and optimizing IT development processes.

We are looking for you if you have
•    IT or Telco specific university degree
•    Programming and development skills
•    At least 8 years working experience
•    At least 5 years of experience in IT development industry
•    At least 3 years of Development team lead experience
