About this role
We are seeking a Global IoT Service Expert to lead the in-life service relationship for Vodafone’s most strategic global IoT customers. This role acts as a trusted advisor to customers, providing end-to-end IoT service management, governance, and continuous improvement across complex, large-scale IoT solutions. You will work at senior stakeholder level, shape service strategy, and ensure contractual, operational, and customer experience outcomes are consistently delivered.
What you’ll do
- Act as the dedicated global service contact for Vodafone’s largest strategic IoT customer accounts.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customer senior management.
- Own and lead service review meetings and quarterly business reviews, including on-site engagement where required.
- Provide proactive IoT technical service management across the full service lifecycle.
- Drive continuous service improvement initiatives aligned with ITIL principles, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Shape and enhance IoT operational services through governance, process definition, and service optimisation.
- Initiate, approve, and complete new or updated processes impacting customer IoT solutions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and partners to enhance service models and customer outcomes.
- Represent customer interests within the Vodafone IoT organisation, and Vodafone’s interests towards customers.
- Own service performance and contractual deliverables, including KPIs, SLAs, NPS, cost-to-serve, and improvement plans.
- Support commercial stakeholders by removing barriers to product and service adoption and enabling incremental revenue and margin.
Who you are
- Fluent in English and proficient in German.
- An experienced IoT or technology service professional with strong customer-facing expertise.
- ITIL v3 Foundation certified, with practical experience applying service management frameworks.
- Confident in project and virtual team management within matrix environments.
- Technically knowledgeable across IoT operations and service management, including WAN, LAN, SDN, security, and mobile network technologies.
- Analytical and data-driven, able to interpret complex datasets and communicate insights clearly.
- Collaborative, solution-oriented, and comfortable working in demanding, fast-paced environments.
- Experienced in vendor and partner management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience, with exposure to IoT modules, LPWA technologies, and mobile networks.
