Junior Manager - Pricing

 

Your role in a nutshell:

 

The Junior Manager – Pricing role is responsible for leading a team, with or without a Team Leader, of mixed seniority of Pricing Specialists and Pricing Analysts with who deliver end-to-end pricing expertise across Vodafone’s Business Opportunities for a specific product portfolio or Line of Business. This is a leadership role that requires a deep understanding of Vodafone’s global and/or local products and solutions and winning pricing strategies as per scope. The role requires understanding of internal and external Customer business models and requirements, and the ability to form and lead a high performing team culture to deliver best in class services – for specified product portfolios and/or lines of businesses. Acts as SPOC to key stakeholders for inquiries and escalations, supports the execution of business transformation projects, identifying risks and proactively works with business stakeholders to diagnose and remediate execution gaps and resolve risks. The role reports to the Pricing Manager as part of a wider team of Pricing and is expected to contribute to the management and direction of the wider Pricing Centre of Excellence’s development and growth strategy.

 

What you’ll do:

 

• Business Integration
o Provide a consistent service across their functions.
o Drive resource optimisation and allocation to support the business the most effective way across the Pricing CoE
o Be the first escalation point for the business and team as well.
o Standardise global processes and enhance the customer and partner experience.
o Ensure large-scale standardisation and integration.
o Ensure the teams are working according to industry leading processes that comply with relevant international quality standards (eg. WorldCCM and project management best practices like Prince2 or PMP)


• Stakeholder engagement
o Building up and operate an effective stakeholder network. Being in peer-relationship with relevant regional and functional leaders
o Ensure all key stakeholders have appropriate engagement
o Manage stakeholder relationships


• Performance Management
o Ensure appropriate governance is in place to support proactive management of the business: management of business risks, issue resolution and timely performance reporting to support decision making
o Recognise areas for improvement, identify and implement necessary changes to enable business to perform to its optimum ability
o Achievement against specific Business and _VOIS KPIs driving continuous improvement


• Strategy
o Communicate strategies and objectives with relevant departments and colleagues
o Input into the Pricing Management Strategy for _VOIS and be responsible for the implementation, including driving continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives with insights of telecoms industry players and competitor landscape.


• Leadership and teamwork
o Ensure that the agreed processes are delivered in an effective and timely manner, and that opportunities for continuous development are identified in all areas in scope
o Provide regular, constructive feedback to maximize positive impact of individual team member’s talent
o Growing seniority and calibre of own team
o Manage career development of team members. Support, develop and coach Leaders and the team members
o Provide business vision, clear definition of roles, responsibilities, individual goals and performance objectives; Set and measure KPIs

What you’ll bring to the team
 

• Rounded professional in commercial and pricing management activities, developing compelling commercial & pricing propositions with 5 years + experience with multinational companies
• People Management specifically in a global multi-national environment
• Sound working knowledge of general business processes and organizational framework, such as goals, strategy, culture and structure
• Well-developed interpersonal skills including ability to lead others to a consensus and influence change in a cross functional environment and communicate across all levels of the organization
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written; able to express complex ideas in simple terms
• Proven problem-solving skills; ability to break a problem or opportunity down into sub-components; identify root causes and drivers; use creative thinking skills in developing alternative solutions
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders
• Ability to influence and collaborate with teams across different geographies
• Strength of character - creates a positive impact, comes across as enthusiastic and committed presence, impact, clarity of communication, challenger
• Flexible approach to work
• Good time management skills and ability to multitask
• Ability to demonstrate a high level of verbal and written English
