Junior Software Engineer

for our Technology Department

Your place in the team 

Completes web-based application developments (front-end and back-end) by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities, contributing to team meetings, troubleshooting development, test and production issues across multiple environments and operating platforms. Supports testing activities and handover to Operation Department. Activities include 3rd line maintenance, issue and incident tracking aligned with SLA’s. Updates knowledge by researching new technologies and software products.


You will be involved in the following tasks 

•Design and implement web-based software applications to support business requirements.
•Design and develop user interfaces to internet / intranet applications.
•Integrate applications with legacy applications / systems.
•Participates in every aspect of development and implementation, working with end users (Product Owners) to fully understand business requirements.
•Ensure compliance with Vodafone policies and procedures.
•Preparing high- and low-level documentation.
•Estimate the development effort by requirements and projects.
•Work in teams using agile development methodologies.
•Support testing activities.
•Investigate and fix defects and incidents during development and application lifecycle.
•Integrate microservices to backend APIs provided on an API Gateway.
•Prepare release packages for test and production environment.

We are looking for you if you have 

•IT specific university degree OR relevant experience.
•2+ years of experience in software industry.
•UNIX / Linux shell.
•HTML5, CSS, Typescript.
•Familiar with modern JS frameworks, ideally Vue.js / NUXT.
•Unit testing, e2e testing, including use of mocking frameworks.
•Good knowledge of Network Communication/Integration solutions (REST JSON).
•Java knowledge is a plus.
