About this role

We are seeking a Legal Counsel to join the Vodafone Procure & Connect (VP&C) Legal team, supporting a broad range of legal matters across international roaming and connectivity agreements, procurement contracts, new business initiatives, and technology projects. This role plays a key part in enabling business growth by providing practical legal guidance, supporting compliance programmes, managing legal risks, and contributing to transformation initiatives that promote digital ways of working, standardisation, and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will work closely with Legal & Business Integrity colleagues and a diverse range of business stakeholders to deliver effective legal solutions and support strategic objectives.

What you’ll do

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on commercial agreements, terms and conditions, and contractual arrangements related to Vodafone Procure & Connect activities.
  • Provide legal guidance on the development and lifecycle management of services, including advice on applicable laws, regulations, and commercial risks.
  • Identify legal risks proactively and recommend practical, business-focused solutions.
  • Collaborate with Legal & Business Integrity, local market legal teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure comprehensive legal support.
  • Support legal compliance programmes and promote best practices across the organisation.
  • Partner with teams including Intellectual Property, Data Protection, Tax, Finance, Operations, Regulatory, Vodafone Business, and Group functions on legal matters.
  • Contribute to the development of legal know-how, precedent materials, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and support commercial, wholesale, and operational teams in achieving business objectives.
  • Influence discussions and decision-making processes to achieve balanced legal and commercial outcomes.
  • Maintain current knowledge of legal developments and communicate their impact to relevant business areas.

Who you are

  • Professionally qualified legal practitioner. 
  • Experienced in a commercial legal role involving complex legal matters, contract negotiation, compliance, and advisory work.
  • Skilled in reviewing, negotiating, drafting, and advising on commercial contracts in English.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law and awareness of legal and commercial developments relevant to telecommunications, procurement, and connectivity services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present legal advice clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Commercially aware with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Collaborative team player who values knowledge sharing and cross-functional partnership.
  • Able to manage competing priorities while delivering timely, practical legal solutions.
