Technology Manager - VOIS Hungary
Your role in a nutshell:
Technology is one of the Vodafone Intelligent Solutions (VOIS) divisions, serving as a key partner in talent, technology, and transformation for Vodafone across multiple VOIS locations. It drives innovation, insourcing, and industrialization to deliver world-class technology services to VOIS customers. Its mission is to be the trusted partner of choice for technology services and solutions across Vodafone.
This role is accountable for the overall operational performance of the Technology VOIS Hungary department, serving both Technology VOIS Leaders (internal customers) and broader Vodafone stakeholders (external customers). The position ensures efficiency ownership through close management of OPEX and CAPEX budgets, leveraging change and transformation programs to continuously enhance operational effectiveness.

What you’ll do
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
• Strategize & implement initiatives for the department in line with the wider organizations’ vision & growth plans.
• Design and implement together with the other Technology VOIS leaders the operating and delivery model applicable to the Technology VOIS Hungary location, continuously adapting it to evolving business needs and realities.
• Collaborate closely with the Technology VOIS leadership to define and align functional objectives, ensuring their effective communication and implementation within the team.
• Identify, mentor, coach and develop talents; ensure succession planning for all management and critical individual contributor roles.
• Implement effective resource and capacity management, as well as the right skill mix to balance cost, quality and time to market
• Improve productivity through tooling, automation and effective operational models and methodologies.
• Contribute to the commercialization transformation towards P*Q*Q model
• Achieve/exceed SLA objectives and KPIs for the services in the portfolio.
• Manage the OPEX /CAPEX (functional/operational) budget. Oversee the forecast and execution ensuring alignment with the requirements of Technology functions.
• Manage the Technology VOIS Hungary location budget for center-wide initiatives, in addition to the functional budget.
• Accountable for achieving the Business Process Transformation efficiency targets.
• Act as the primary representative of Technology VOIS Hungary location, define and implement the Technology location strategy, ensuring alignment with wider initiatives, programs, and workstreams of Technology VOIS Europe, while fostering cooperation with the Technology Leaders. Define and drive the initiatives derived from the location strategy.
• Act as an enabler for the Technology functions to ensure proper alignment and inclusion of their requirements.
• Own the expansion process of the Technology VOIS Hungary location (organizational structure, talent onboarding, delivery model, stakeholder management, etc.) aligning with the overall Technology VOIS strategy and evolving customer demand. Identify, qualify, propose and close opportunities with customers to enable Technology VOIS Hungary location growth.
• Ensure robust BCP, compliance with SOX and other critical regulatory requirements, and provide support for internal and external audits, safeguarding operational resilience and governance for the Technology VOIS Hungary location.
• Contribute to the design (local imprint) and adoption within the Technology location of Employee Branding programs as well as Recruitment and L&D initiatives.
• Effectively manage stakeholders at all levels to drive business transformation and enhance customer experience.
• Collaborate effectively with other teams and departments, within Technology VOIS, Local Markets and other Group Functions.
Who you are
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience gained in the field of technology services and solutions, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong leadership and influencing experience
- Excellent operational and financial skills and understanding
- Excellent senior stakeholder engagement to agree strategy and ensure robust plans are in place
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Driving change across multi-functional teams Personal tenacity and ability to drive through to conclusion in a dynamic and challenging environment.
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
• University Degree level education required
• Fluent English
• Financial understanding
• Track record of successful transformations (in any IT&C domain)
