Your place in the team
Part of our Digital Tribe, this role takes place in the agile internal development squad responsible for delivering the new releases for the My Vodafone application. The Chapter Technical Lead is responsible for planning and coordinating the frontend development team’s activities and ensure that delivery milestones and KPIs are met (time, quality, scope). Works together with the team to improve tools, methodologies, and work environment. Promotes improvements in way of working, processes and technical solutions to improve team performance or quality of life within the team. Understands the architecture, business processes and integrations in the domain of the mobile application. Proposes technical solutions or best practices to achieve the intended business outcome. Close cooperation with the Chapter Manager and Product Owner in terms of progress and risks or issues. People management of the team members and planning of the development of their professional skills and career path is also part of the responsibilities.

You will be involved in the following tasks
•    Plan, coordinate and monitor the frontend development team’s activities (iOS, Android, Web) within the sprint in close cooperation with the project management.
•    Participate in and contribute to sprint and release planning
•    Ensure that the target architecture, solution designs and change requirements are supporting the overall digital vision both on Business and Technical side.
•    Define non-functional, operational, and quality requirements for solutions
•    Manage technical debt and technology obsolescence at solution level. Define and maintain technical stories to maintain stability, performance, keep technology up-to date, and make sure the technical requirements are part of the overall roadmap. Advocate adoption of new technologies into solutions
•    Ensure proper communication and alignment of roadmap, scope, timing etc. between the decision makers and developers 
•    Ensure that the developments / documentations are covering the entire IT landscape incl. operations, security, privacy.
•    Negotiate functional and non-functional technical feasibility of requirements with systems suppliers, developers and/or other third parties
•    Provide estimate to Product Owner, or external projects related to request (User Story or Business+Technical Concept)
•    Follow the work of vendors, manage vendor deliverables to achieve goals of quality, speed, and efficiency. Review and comment all work products and propose preferable solutions if needed, responsible for the control of the budget spending related to the Chapter
•    Cooperate with DevOps Team to keep CI process up-to-date and running
•    Assures timely and precise reporting of the project data (progress, velocity, KPIs) as per the valid reporting rules
•    Introduce automation for more effective work in all adequate areas
•    Continuously improve his/her competence and technological knowledge in his/her area
•    Contribute to process development work by continuously evaluating and optimizing IT development processes.    
•    Manage Quick and effective elimination of production defects and incidents also manage to keep the production incidents number as low as possible.
•    Support insource initiatives in the Chapter
•    Ensure Group and Local KPIs to be met
•    Cooperate with parallel projects, and group initiatives to achieve project milestones
•    People management of team members, both external and internal (1v1, regular feedback, development support)
•    Facilitate daily and weekly team events (stand up, status, lead dev status, estimation and task breakdown, retro, demo etc.)
•    Manage resources within the team, plan sprits / releases according to estimates vs capacity
•    Facilitate and empower Chapter team in achieving high performance in solution delivery, ensuring Vodafone development quality standards, functional and non-functional requirements are achieved.
•    Take part in recruitment, capacity planning, performance evaluation process of the MobileApp Frontend Chapter.

We are looking for you if you have
•    5+ years working experience in IT software development industry
•    3+ years in team lead or project manager role
•    2+ years leading frontend software development teams (mobile application preferred)
•    Fluent in English
•    Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
•    Ability to create efficient and information rich reports
•    Knowledge of JIRA or other issue tracking software, experience with Office suite
•    Precise and proactive planner
•    Good communication skills, understanding business and technical experts as well
•    Experience working closely with developers, product managers, and other team members in an agile environment, SCRUM experience (Scrum master experience is a plus)
