Your place in the team
Operations Business Manager (OBM) role aims at improving the cooperation between Vodafone Local Market and Infrastructure Operations; the OBM is accountable for ensuring specific care of Top and Prime (in the future Platinum / Gold) Services end to end, ensuring a proper technical support during any lifecycle phase of the OSS. In particular, the Operations Business Manager looks forward to assess top services OSS and maximize their operational stability and performance.


You will be involved in the following tasks
•    Responsible for assigned Top Services set-up infrastructure stability
•    Responsible for supporting and validating the planning of any activity related to the assigned Top Services
•    Responsible for identifying any service improvement and trigger it in conjunction with Preventive Maintenance Programme
•    Responsible for getting proper support from involved vendors and supporting infrastructure as well application teams
•    Responsible for supporting Incidents resolution and problem analysis, identifying proper remediation actions
•    Responsible for advising on any architectural improvement of the assigned Top Service
•    Accountable for supporting any migrations
•    Responsible for ensuring a proper patching
•    Manages any specialist/engineer from different teams for problem analysis, remediation action, action achievement
•    Building strong relationships with Local Market SPOC and Application Support responsible 
•    Close cooperation within the E2E Team with the OBM (DB)
•    Training and documentation of automated procedures for shared service centres
•    Pro-active support of decision processes
•    Pro-active proposals to solve upcoming problems with any OSS and Cloud technologies
•    Managing, planning and coordination of upgrades of critical UNIX (Solaris / HP / Linux) platforms
•    Introduction and documentation of solutions to customer and vendors 
•    The most skilled people for patching, preparing Patch sets and implementing upgrades/ redesign of existing infrastructure

We are looking for you if you have
•    5 years’ experience in operating and planning as well as the design of infrastructure in datacentre environments, preferably database administration
•    Well-developed technical knowledge across a broad range of IT topics
•    Extensive technical knowledge of deployed infrastructure
•    Configure and maintain UNIX/Linux servers
•    Manage HA cluster configurations and ensure redundancy for top services on infrastructure level
•    Expert Linux/Unix Know How
•    Expert Veritas HA knowledge
•    Detailed skills of backend services (DNS, LDAP, backup, SSO etc.)
•    Automation of administration tasks via ESA Bladelogic
•    Know how on Control-M scheduling tool
•    Perl/Kornshell scripting knowledge and experience
